Aruba

So last night we bit the bullet and booked 5 nights in Aruba as the final part if the trip instead of spending the time in Caracas. The lovely, little boutique hotel looks amazing :)

Only piece to sort now is the two weeks in Argentina. 

Venezuela

I have been looking into things to see and do in Venezuela today as Caracas looks, erm, "gritty"; to quote the lonely planet.

What I need is suggestions for a brilliant and relaxing end to our trip there as it's our final destination. Any suggestions? 

We could always end in the Caribbean instead..... ;)

2 months today!!

We'll be on the flight to Quito - it's going to start going fast now I think :)

Advice and Suggestions

I've been talking about our travel plans with a few friends and colleagues lately and have been overwhelmed by the suggestions, ideas and recomendations I'm getting back. Everything from places to visit, what to do when you get there, how to get there and (most importantly) what to eat and drink and where to go to do it.

In other news I have also had my first Rabies jab now and it appears there is a shortage of Typhoid vaccine, so I may have to go on a last minute hunt for that if my local GP doesn't get stock in soon...

Preparing for the Inca Trail trek with a 7.5 mile walk around sunny Surrey today, need to find steeper routes really...

Matt has a mild case of Rabies at the moment (woof), I start my course tomorrow. How I hate injections!

I'm nearly finished reading "The Lost City of the Incas", so looking forward to seeing the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu even more now.
